Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Process Engineer to develop and validate manufacturing processes for robotic systems, from prototype through production. You will drive cost reduction and implement tooling improvements that improve safety, quality, and efficiency, while collaborating across Operations and AR factories.

The role requires experience in New Product Introduction, process analysis, and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
• Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems.
• Ability to manage and deliver projects with accelerated schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports and leadership.
• Experience with process analysis using mapping, time studies, line balancing, or simulations.
• NPI experience with Phase-Gate processes and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with 8D, Fishbone, CAPA, and related problem-solving tools.
• Experience with PFMEA/DFMEA or fault tree analysis.
• Experience reviewing product/fixture designs in SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate manufacturing processes for new product introductions from prototype to production.
• Drive process optimization and cost-reduction across scaling lines.
• Create business cases and planning documents for equipment and plant investments.
• Implement tooling improvements that raise safety, quality, and cost targets.
• Conduct process reviews including FMEA and hazard assessments for readiness.
• Travel ~25% to support cross-site collaboration.
