Job summary

Amazon’s RMTO team in Westboro, MA, seeks a Process Engineer to develop, validate, and optimize high-precision manufacturing processes for robotics. You’ll partner across Operations and Engineering to scale production, validate equipment, and drive cost-reduction initiatives.

Strong communication and NPI experience are essential. In this role you’ll contribute to safety, quality, and efficiency targets while collaborating across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, material science, or physics.
• Experience with hardware design, validation, and Phase-Gate/NPI processes.
• Experience with process analysis, mapping, time studies, or simulation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate manufacturing processes to meet product requirements for NPI through production release.
• Drive process optimization and cost reduction across scaling production lines.
• Author business cases and planning documents for capital equipment and plant infrastructure.
• Develop and implement tooling improvements delivering safety, quality, and cost impact.
• Conduct process reviews including FMEA/Risk/Hazard assessments for readiness.
• Travel approximately 25% for cross-site collaboration.
