Job summary

Camaco in Lorain, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes. You will lead time studies, apply lean principles, coordinate engineering changes, and support new and revised product launches on the shop floor.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Manufacturing Engineering and 3+ years in automotive manufacturing, with strong skills in robotics, PLCs, AutoCAD, Six Sigma, and GD&T. On-site work with safety compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time and method studies to set time standards.
• Provide lean engineering support across operations.
• Manage engineering changes and product launches.
• Develop plant layouts, work instructions and process flows.
• Handle robotics and automation, including welding cells.
• Create and maintain FMEA and process documentation.
• Troubleshoot processes and equipment; support 8D problem resolution.
