Job summary

Wonder is seeking a dependable Lab Technician to maintain our laboratory facilities and support engineering teams daily. You will help keep 2–3 lab spaces organized, fully equipped, and functional to enable innovation.

Responsibilities include workspace upkeep, tool stewardship, daily logistics, package handling, equipment care, inventory, and light assembly support for engineers. Requires high school diploma and basic tool comfort.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; interest in tech/robotics is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
  • Comfort with hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active during shifts.
  • Proficient with basic digital tools like Google Docs/Sheets.
  • Strong communication, reliability, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Workspace Operations & Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization across 2–3 active lab spaces.
  • Tool & Facility Stewardship: Ensure tools and materials are organized, returned, and stored after team use.
  • Facility Logistics: Clear excess items and route to recycling to keep floors clear.
  • Deliveries & Intake: Be the point of contact for daily packages, sorting and organizing incoming shipments.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Care: Learn floor machinery status, perform routine checks, coordinate with vendors.
  • Inventory & Supplies: Log spare parts, consumables, and shop supplies to ensure stock on hand.
  • Engineering Project Support: Assist engineers with light assembly and prototyping as needed.
