Job summary

Allegion in Indianapolis, IN is offering a 12-week Summer Intern - Robotics Technician. You will work with engineers, technicians and operators to learn how we develop and maintain robot processes in our fabrication department, with hands-on projects and real-world problem solving.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and are pursuing a robotics technology or CIM degree. Experience with multi-axis robots, robot maintenance, programming, and PLC ladder logic is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; pursuing robotics education preferred.
• Experience with multi-axis robots and robotic programming is desirable.
• Willingness to work onsite in Indianapolis for a 12-week summer internship.

Responsibilities

• Program Industrial Robots in fabrication.
• Develop robotic processes within the fabrication department.
• Establish baselines and monitor robot productivity.
• Troubleshoot robotic and cell issues.
• Evaluate and implement process changes.
• Assist in installation of new robotic processes.
• Keep abreast of latest programming techniques.
