Job summary

NEURA Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain interfaces for Mobile Robotics. You will shape how robots communicate with upper-level platforms, ensure API consistency, and define unified APIs across user, developer, and partner needs.

You will also design a dispatcher that maps software configurations to hardware versions. You\'ll work with REST/gRPC, Python/C++ SDKs, ROS 2, and DDS-based interfaces, maintain API versioning and secure access, and support

Qualifications

3+ years of relevant work experience in robotics, software engineering, or a related technical field.
Ownership mindset for maintaining a production robotics middleware repository, including architecture decisions, issue triage, code reviews, documentation, and releases.
Ability to maintain API surfaces across protocols including FastDDS, REST/OpenAPI, and Python bindings.
Strong C++17 and CMake experience, with experience across modular/plugin-based components.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain the communication architecture between robots and upper-level software platforms.
Develop and maintain REST/gRPC APIs, Python/C++ SDKs, OPC UA, MQTT, ROS 2, and ZeroMQ interfaces and related layers.
Design and maintain a dispatcher to map software configurations to robot models and hardware versions.
Ensure API versioning, backward compatibility, authentication, authorization, and secure access.
Support external partners and system integrators with onboarding, debugging, and production deployments.
Create and maintain API documentation, SDK examples, interface specifications, and configuration guides.
