Job summary

Wonder looks for an Engineering Buyer to support its R&D Engineering teams in rapidly developing robotics for Wonder’s next-generation restaurants. You’ll execute PO transactions for hardware components, vet vendors, and maintain end-to-end procurement across multiple parallel projects.

You’ll manage vendor onboarding, tracking, and documentation while collaborating with legal, finance, and engineering to keep builds on schedule in a hybrid Boston office environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, specifically supporting hardware, manufacturing, or automation products.
• Preferred: BS in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field (an engineering degree is not required, but technical familiarity is a preferred).
• Proficiency with standard procurement/spend management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Procurement Execution & Tracking: Execute and manage PO transactions for engineering components across sensors, actuators, passive components, testing tools, and custom-fabricated parts.
• Vendor Coordination: Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for engineering vendors. Set up introductory calls, coordinate onsite demos, and ensure the right engineering stakeholders are in the room.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with legal on NDAs and vendor contracts as needed. Partner closely with Wonder’s internal procurement and accounting teams to resolve issues with the PO platform, invoice matching, or approvals.
• Documentation & Communication: Collect and organize vendor documentation, datasheets, and product specs for team reference so engineers can access technical information quickly.
