Job summary

Path Robotics is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, Mechanical Engineering & Hardware Design to lead the design and development of mechanical systems for our next generation robotic manipulation products as we expand into factory automation.

You will lead a team of engineers, define engineering direction, manage priorities, and deliver reliable hardware from concept to deployment while collaborating with ML, Robotics, Software, and Electrical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering/robotics hardware experience.
• 2+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Strong background in mechanical design, electromechanical systems, and robotics hardware development.
• Experience designing end-of-arm tooling, fixtures, and sensor-integrated systems.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and CAD workflows, and hardware development lifecycle.
• Ability to manage priorities and drive cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers with clear career growth paths.
• Own engineering priorities, resource planning, and project execution for hardware.
• Oversee sensing tooling, robotic components, fixtures, and electromechanical systems.
• Drive integration of cameras, sensors, force/torque, and other sensing tech into hardware.
• Define mechanical interfaces between robots, tools, sensors, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Lead design reviews and establish reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability standards.
• Collaborate with ML, Robotics, Software, and Electrical teams to translate requirements into hardware.
• Oversee end-to-end hardware lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Work with vendors and manufacturing teams to accelerate development.
• Support hiring and scalable engineering processes as Path grows.
