Job summary

NVIDIA’s Isaac team seeks a research engineer to build simulation tools for robotics, translating research ideas into Isaac Lab Arena capabilities and collaborating with robotics researchers to scale solutions for NVIDIA’s user base.

You will train and evaluate robot foundation models, integrate LLM workflows, and drive cross-team leadership between Research and Product to deliver scalable simulation platforms.

Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent experience in CS/Robotics or related field.
  • 8+ years of robotics, simulation, or robot learning research engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to translate research prototypes into production-ready software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop simulation frameworks for training and evaluating robot foundation models on top of NVIDIA’s Omniverse platform.
  • Collaborate with research to design, implement, and evaluate novel algorithms for robot learning.
  • Drive technical architecture, set evaluation standards, and lead cross-team collaboration between Research and Product.
  • Work in a fast-paced software engineering environment with code reviews, testing, CI, and deployment.
  • Train and evaluate robot foundation models; integrate LLM and agentic workflows into simulation and robotics pipelines.
  • Translate research ideas into Isaac Lab Arena capabilities scalable to NVIDIA’s user base.
  • Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art robotics research.
