Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Field Tester to remotely operate and calibrate semi-autonomous robot systems in client environments. You will document procedures, report findings, and train teams on safe operation and fault diagnosis, ensuring tests meet customer requirements across industries.

The role requires 5-7 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment, leadership capabilities, and a Bachelor's in engineering or related field; OSHA 30 is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience with a portfolio of heavy equipment and industries.
• Operations manager or other strong leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, robotics, agriculture or a related field (or equivalent).
• OSHA 30

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment manually, via tele-operations, semi-autonomously, and autonomously to evaluate and improve performance, functionality, and reliability.
• Maintain a safe testing and fielding environment and enforce safety standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with program and engineering teams to understand CONOPs and required test cases.
• Document daily inspections, test procedures, results, and maintenance activities; provide clear reports.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure safety and performance.
• Calibrate, diagnose, and troubleshoot robotic systems with engineering teams.
• Define test requirements and configure test tracks to simulate real-world conditions and deliver results.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align development, calibration, testing, documentation, and training.
• Develop training plans and curriculum for robotic systems; execute vehicle- and robot-specific training for teams and customers.
• Perform on-site system configuration, calibration, and acceptance testing and customer training.
