Job summary

Ultra is seeking a Field Support Technician for our NYC-based team to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and robotic issues in the field. You’ll travel to customer sites, swap components, and perform preventive maintenance to keep the fleet healthy and productive.

You’ll train customers to get the most out of our robots, relay the voice of the customer to product and ML teams, and document every fix for faster resolution.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel up to 3–4 weeks per month.
• Ability to work autonomously in a high-trust environment.
• Excellent customer communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and robotic issues.
• Swap components and perform preventive maintenance to keep the fleet healthy.
• Train customers to maximize robot performance.
• Document fixes so the remote team can resolve issues faster next time.
• Contribute to design and component selection when at HQ and assist assembly/testing.
• Provide outstanding remote customer service via Slack, text, or phone.
