Field AI is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support deployment, testing, and client-facing operations of our robotic systems (drones, quadrupeds, humanoid robots). Based at Sterling, VA, this full-time onsite role targets recent graduates who thrive in technical and operational environments.

You will collaborate with engineering and sales, deploy systems in the field, run demos, document results, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Strong communication skills—able to translate complex topics for various audiences.
Willingness to travel frequently and work in field environments.

Responsibilities

Deploy and operate robotic systems in the field, supporting testing and data collection.
Supervise remote operations and assist during client presentations and demos.
Facilitate clear communication between engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Document issues, test results, and client feedback in detail.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and contribute to process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and usability.
