Job summary

Alutiiq Information Management, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, has an excellent opportunity for a Robotics Engineer in San Diego, CA. This role supports U.S. Navy RESTORE Laboratory delivering design, development, simulation, and testing of C5ISR robotic systems, both manned and unmanned.

The successful candidate will work on hardware and software integration, AI/machine learning for autonomy, and ensure compliance with government regulations. Must hold SECRET clearance or higher.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain SECRET clearance (TOP SECRET per orders).
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Master of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test hardware, software, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems for robotic and unmanned systems.
• Support development of high-reliability electro-mechanical robotic systems, including design, simulation, and animation prior to prototyping.
• Specify requirements for system autonomy and AI integration, including ML models.
• Design and fabricate test environments for unmanned systems and robotics.
• Develop software pipelines for processing sensor data from robotic systems, drones, and cameras.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations for robotics operations.
• Lead engineering services through all phases from requirements analysis to production and logistics support.
