Job summary

State Group Automation is seeking an experienced Robotics Engineer to advance our automation projects across North America. You will join a team delivering turnkey robotic systems, collaborating with customers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable operation.

You will configure and optimize robotic setups, support electrical and software design, and troubleshoot PLCs in coordination with the Controls Engineer. Travel to customer sites is required as projects demand.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Robotics Engineer.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field.
  • Strong knowledge of robotic systems integration.
  • Preferred knowledge of PLC controls systems.
  • Experience in automotive or manufacturing industries is a plus.
  • Extensive commissioning experience.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites across North America.

  • Promote and comply with all safety standards.
  • Collaborate with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support electrical and software design as needed.
  • Configure interference zones, I/O, and vision systems.
  • Perform robot setup including mastering, TCP, payload, and offline programs.
  • Troubleshoot and debug PLCs in coordination with the Controls Engineer.
  • Optimize cycle times and improve throughput.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Work with Fanuc robots (required); experience with ABB, KUKA, Kawasaki, and Nachi is an asset.
  • Apply experience in material handling, spot welding, MIG welding, and sealing/dispensing.
  • Utilize DCS, Safe Op, and Safe Move functions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

  • 2+ years of experience as a Robotics Engineer.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field required.
  • Strong knowledge of robotic systems integration.
  • Preferred knowledge of PLC controls systems.
  • Previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive commissioning experience.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites across North America.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US or qualify for a TN visa. We are unable to provide sponsorship outside the TN process.
