Job summary

State Group Automation Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in Troy, Michigan. The ideal candidate will bring 2–5 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, excelling in safety standards and collaboration with various stakeholders. Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
  • Preferred knowledge of robotic systems.
  • Experience with Automotive, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers and project stakeholders.
  • Start-up, debug, and troubleshoot PLC Controls automation equipment.

Skills

Knowledge of PLCs and HMIs
Extensive commissioning experience
Strong communication skills
Ability to travel to customer sites

Education

Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Promote and comply with all safety standards
  • Collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Support electrical and software design as needed
  • Optimize cycle times and improve throughput
  • Maintain customer relationships
  • Assist with electrical and software design when required
  • Start‑up, debug, and troubleshooting of PLC Controls automation equipment at the Build Shop and customer's site.
  • Throughput enhancement at customer's site
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs and HMIs
  • Preferred knowledge of robotic systems
  • Experience with Automotive, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing industries
  • Extensive commissioning experience
  • Preferred hardware and software design capabilities
  • Ability to travel to customer sites across North America
  • Valid passport and driver’s license
  • Eligibility for a TN Visa
