Job summary

Aptiv is building a Robotics business focused on Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and drones for warehouse and industrial environments. We are seeking an Embedded Systems Architect to design, develop, integrate, and optimize hardware and software systems across sensing, edge computing, autonomy, and perception.

You will transform early concepts into robust, data-driven products deployed across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience developing embedded systems for robotics, automotive, drones, or related fields.
Strong experience designing and developing embedded software and systems.
Experience across hardware, software, systems, and product development teams.
Experience with MBSE and tools such as Polarion or DOORS.
Experience with ROS or ROS 2 and Linux-based embedded platforms.
Familiarity with safety concepts (ISO 26262, functional safety) and secure embedded design.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded system architectures across AMR and drone platforms.
Collaborate with product managers to align technical solutions with product requirements and schedules.
Evaluate technologies to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Perform system bring-up, integration, validation, and troubleshooting across hardware and software domains.
Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies throughout development.
Define system interfaces and ensure robust timing, synchronization, and data flows.
