Job summary

REV Robotics in Carrollton, TX seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop embedded circuits for educational robot products. You will drive innovation, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across software and mechanical teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

The role focuses on motor drivers, sensors, controllers, and human interface devices, with on-site work and a salary range of $85,000–$105,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in electrical engineering with increasing responsibility.
• 3+ motor controller development for sensor and sensorless architectures.
• 1+ year ESP32 development experience.
• Experience with digital circuits, switching regulators, USB, CAN/CAN-FD, serial interfaces, sensors.
• Embedded software development with ARM microcontrollers; hardware-software interaction.
• Board bring-up and root cause analysis.
• Proficient in Altium, LTspice, STM CubeMX/IDE; V&V documentation.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional teams.
• Basic embedded C/C++ development; EMI/EMC compliance and debug.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test embedded electrical systems for robot components.
• Lead development and maintenance of common electrical libraries and ERP integration.
• Participate in product ecosystem architecture decisions from electrical perspective.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster learning.
• Collaborate with software and mechanical teams for seamless integration.
• Conduct design reviews for functionality, performance, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with external electrical design partners and manage contributions.
• Resolve customer technical issues with support teams.
• Validate circuits with oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies, data acquisition.
• Maintain awareness of safety standards and industry regulations.
