Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedic and Robotic Surgical Services perioperative team at Albany Medical Center's main campus in Albany, NY. The role offers hands-on exposure to robotic technologies and collaboration with a multidisciplinary surgical staff.

Responsibilities include perioperative care, assisting in robotic and conventional procedures, first/second assistant duties, documentation, and participation in quality and training

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant degree program.
• Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with RNFA training.
• Must be licensed and actively registered as NY PA or NP.
• Ability to quickly master EMR and billing systems.
• ACLS/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons during a wide range of procedures, including robotic-assisted surgeries.
• Perform first- and second-assist duties in the operating room.
• Collaborate with perioperative nursing staff and surgical teams for safe, efficient care.
• Engage in mentorship, training, and ongoing professional development.
• Document encounters and operative notes accurately per standards.
