Job summary

Figure is seeking a hands-on Deployment Engineer to join our Data Collection team. You will manage technical challenges across our robot data collection system, bridging field operations and core engineering—driving root-cause analysis for recurring issues and building scalable workflows.

This role requires travel to active data collection sites across the country (regular travel across the Bay Area, and ~25% travel across the country).

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of work experience in automotive or industrial automation/robotics integration, deployment, and development.
• Engineering degree.
• Willingness to travel frequently to data collection sites.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering with deployment, serving as on-site representative to reach development goals.
• Provide hands-on support to collection team, unblock issues, teach troubleshooting techniques, and coach.
• Execute robot commissioning and testing at customer sites, track and analyze collections, code and debug as needed.
• Triage hardware and software issues, document learnings, and drive fixes across engineering teams.
• Plan and execute logistics for deploying early-stage robotic systems to homes and apartments.
• Work with robot operators and technicians as site lead, ensuring tasks and tools are available.
• Communicate site health, recurring issues, and trends to engineers and leadership.
