Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking a Second Shift Supervisor for the Data Operations team on the Atlas Project. The role oversees a team from 2:30pm to 11pm on weekdays, ensuring safe, high-quality data collection and efficient operations.

You will coach contractors and staff, develop onboarding materials, track KPIs, and work with ML researchers to meet data needs while managing shift planning and budget. Focus on continuous improvement and SOP development.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching and/or managing individuals in professional settings.
• Data analysis skills: KPIs, dashboards, spreadsheets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractors and employees performing ML annotation, teleoperation, and data asset building.
• Develop onboarding/training programs with on-the-floor coaching.
• Develop and track data quality, efficiency, and failure KPIs.
• Interface with ML researchers and engineers to understand data needs.
• Identify bottlenecks in the data pipeline and propose improvements with Eng/IT.
• Plan shift assignments based on demand and resources.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with facilities/IT to maintain space.
• Analyze and report shift performance to stakeholders.
• Develop and deploy new SOPs as needed.
• Trial new software, hardware, or processes.
