Collaborative Robotics in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an early-career Mechanical Engineer to keep our robot data collection systems running onsite. You will own day-to-day health of teleoperation rigs, work hands-on across mechanical hardware, cabling, basic electrical, and light software.

Join a core mechanical engineering team with a path to grow into robot development across hardware programs, collaborating with technicians and program managers to prioritize repairs and improvements.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years hands-on experience building or maintaining electromechanical hardware.
• Comfortable with hand tools and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Keep the data collection rig fleet healthy and running, including teleoperation setups.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and cabling issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Build, modify, and improve rigs using 80/20 framing, machined and printed parts.
• Track recurring failures and drive improvements back into rig design and spares strategy.
• Support bring-up of new rigs and workcells as data collection scales.
• Partner with program managers and technicians to prioritize repairs and improvements.
