Job summary

Agility Robotics is seeking a Manager, Data Collection to lead a team responsible for teleoperation data collection that supports robot learning. You will own staffing, training, and throughput, ensuring high-quality data at required volumes.

You will supervise operators and data collection specialists in Fremont, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement of collection processes in a production-like operating model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in technical operations, data operations, manufacturing, or production environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading frontline or technical teams, including hiring and mentoring.
• Experience with teleoperation rigs, VR/XR capture setups, or related data capture tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the data collection team, including operators and data collection specialists.
• Own hiring, onboarding, and training programs to ensure consistent output across shifts.
• Manage shift scheduling and coverage to meet campaign demand and milestones.
• Own day-to-day readiness of teleoperation stations, capture rigs, and workcells.
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process controls.
• Partner with AI Engineering to translate model roadmaps into concrete collection plans.
• Develop dashboards and reporting for live visibility into collection volume and quality.
