Job summary

Dyna Robotics in Redwood City, CA, is seeking an Annotation Lead to own the operational layer of robot data labeling, from process design to reporting and third-party coordination. You will start by guiding a small team and progressively scale to a full annotation group.

You will design SOPs, ontologies, and cost plans, manage Encord projects, and build dashboards to monitor throughput, cycle times, and blockers. Candidates need 3+ years in operations or program management and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years running operations, program management, or team management in high throughput environments.
• Direct people management experience with hiring, performance, and approvals.
• Strong ability to build repeatable processes, track metrics, and own dashboards and reports.
• Comfort with Encord and basic SQL or scripting; able to work in pipelines without hand holding.
• Vendor and third party management experience with accountability and on-schedule delivery.
• Ability to manage ~20 ongoing threads weekly while keeping operations predictable.

Responsibilities

• Own reporting rhythm with daily and weekly throughput metrics and stakeholder scorecards.
• Manage Encord pipeline end-to-end: projects, SOPs, ontologies, grading, and dataset updates.
• Measure throughput, cycle times, and labeling time; flag bottlenecks early.
• Automate repetitive tasks and maintain runbooks to reduce manual toil.
• Lead a growing annotation team, start with a pod, then scale to ~12 staff and beyond.
• Handle timecard, payroll, approvals, and hiring for the team.
• Develop performance management, coaching, and regular reviews.
• Own vendor relationships with annotation platforms and external partners.
