Job summary
Stellantis is seeking a Controls Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain robust production processes and automation systems in our Auburn Hills facility. You will diagnose and repair PLC controls, update ladder logic for multiple platforms, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize throughput and safety.
The role requires hands-on experience with Fanuc and Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens programming, and strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced automotive
Qualifications
- 3 years of manufacturing experience in automotive assembly/machining
- Proven programming experience with Fanuc and Allen-Bradley PLC platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to work flexible shifts
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and sustain stable production processes to maximize equipment functionality, safety, throughput, and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to assembly automation, robotics, workstations, and automated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair PLC controls, including electrical components, servo drives, motors, wiring, and control panels.
- Modify and update PLC programs for Siemens, Fanuc, Allen-Bradley (PLC-5, SLC500, ControlLogix).
- Document and maintain accurate records of program changes, prints, and electrical schematics.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to minimize equipment downtime and address safety concerns.
