The University of Michigan Department of Robotics seeks a Communications Manager to lead its communications and marketing function, amplifying the stories and achievements of faculty, students, and staff who design smart machines that serve society.

Reporting to department leadership, the manager will develop and execute a strategic plan, produce original reporting, manage the department’s digital platforms, and advise leadership on media relations, reputation, and audience engagement.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a communications-related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience shaping communications strategy across digital platforms and multimedia content.
• Excellent writing/editing skills, translating technical content for broad audiences.
• Website development and social media experience.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement the department's communications and marketing strategy.
• Create research news, materials, and publications.
• Manage digital platforms, social media, editorial calendar, publishing, and analytics.
• Prepare materials for awards, recruitment, and outreach.
• Support events, media engagements, and communication tools.
