This role includes guiding students through robotics challenges, preparing for competitions, and fostering teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking.

Qualifications

• Experience in robotics, engineering, programming, or related fields.
• Ability to motivate and engage junior high school students.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn competition rules and robotics platforms.
• Prior coaching or teaching experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the student robotics team during practices and competitions
• Teach foundational robotics concepts, programming basics, and engineering principles
• Support students in designing, building, and troubleshooting robots
• Promote teamwork, perseverance, and positive sportsmanship
• Coordinate competition logistics and maintain team equipment
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners to grow the program
