Become a Robotics Automation Senior Application Developer at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will be part of the Digital Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) within the Customer Service Operations Division (CSOD), co-leading the development and management of automation robots within the Revenue Services Organization. Your focus will be on developing and implementing process automations using UiPath across the department. You will collaborate with employees and leaders at all levels to implement and maintain automation processes that replace manual interactions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user feedback and interface with stakeholders to apply technical proficiency throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with the business to translate needs into analytics and reporting requirements.
• Document, implement, and support solutions such as data models, cubes, and reports for data analysis.
• Deliver high-quality code, lead validation, testing, and all activities related to implementation.
• Conduct code reviews, perform unit tests, and track project status to ensure timely completion, maintaining communication with the project team.
• Coach and educate end users on best practices, standards, and proper use of reports and cubes.
• Identify opportunities to improve software development methods and procedures.
• Research database issues, standards, and products, and develop technical documentation and handbooks.
• Work closely with support teams, platform teams, and business partners on technical aspects, including implementation, change management, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Analyze current processes to develop future-state approaches and facilitate their implementation.
• Ensure the protection of physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and handle sensitive data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in applications development utilizing SDLC and/or DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five years of programming experience in languages/tools such as Microsoft Access, SAS, Power BI, C++, Visual Basic, C#, or other object-oriented languages.
• Three years of automation experience using UiPath, Power Automate, or Automation Anywhere.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in system and process implementations.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations to diverse audiences.
• Understanding of the SDLC, including system diagrams, requirements development, and user acceptance testing.
• Proficiency in systems design tools like Visio.

Additional Information

• This position is hybrid. Employees will report to an SCE facility part of the time, with remote work options. Residence in California is required unless otherwise noted. Details will be discussed during the interview. The work mode may change based on business needs.
