Job summary

Custom Hoists, Inc. in Hayesville, OH seeks an Automation & Robotic Programming Engineer Technician to own and advance automated manufacturing cells and CNC environments.

You will design, program, and optimize robotics, PLC/HMI, and CNC automation to improve safety, quality, and throughput. You’ll collaborate with engineering, maintenance and operations to deliver scalable automation solutions, develop standard work, and stay ahead of new technologies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Manufacturing, Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent automation experience.
• 5+ years in automation, robotics, and HMI exposure.
• Able to write, read, and edit CNC programs.
• Lean, Six Sigma, and continual improvement knowledge.
• Troubleshoot automation and CNC issues with tooling and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize automated manufacturing cells and CNC environments.
• Design, program, and optimize robotics, PLC/HMI, and CNC automation.
• Support safety, quality, and throughput improvements.
• Develop standard work and process documentation.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Stay current with new automation technologies and processes.
• Understand union procedures and negotiated agreements.
