Job summary

Southern Arkansas University Tech invites applications for a nine-month faculty position in automated and robotic engineering. The successful candidate will teach a minimum of 15 semester hours each Fall and Spring and maintain office hours for student conferences.

Responsibilities include curriculum development, selecting instructional materials, taking on committee duties beyond classes, and contributing to a welcoming, diverse campus community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field.
• Three years’ experience with industrial robots, automated systems, PLC systems, and mechatronics.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Good command of the English language.
• Background check required

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of 15 semester hours each Fall and Spring semesters in automated and robotic engineering, electronics engineering, and related subjects.
• Maintain office hours for student conferences.
• Assist in curriculum development and selection of instructional materials.
• Assume duties including committee assignments over and above classes and office hours.
• Utilize talents and background to serve student and College interests.
