Northern Arizona University (NAU) invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department on the Flagstaff Mountain Campus. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate mechanical engineering, robotics and mechatronics courses and contribute to hands-on learning experiences in ABET-accredited programs.

We seek a candidate with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and at least three years of college teaching.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field is required.
• Three years of college-level teaching experience preferred.
• Experience in thermal-fluids, robotics, or mechatronics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics courses.
• Provide mission-critical service to the department, college, and university.
