Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Roboticist to join the MEGA team as a founding member. You will work across the robot stack, from selecting hardware to deploying policies and testing in real-world scenarios, shaping data collection and model evaluation.

This role offers high impact, 0-1 ownership, the chance to publish research and turn advances into robust embodied intelligence on diverse robots, from mobile manipulators to humanoid platforms, in a fast-paced, well-resourced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in robot manipulation and hardware.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics/ML.
• Strong robotics and ML fundamentals; translate research into robust systems.
• Publications in top-tier conferences (ICRA/CoRL/IROS) valued.
• PhD preferred; MS with strong relevant experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and operate robot hardware for research and deployment.
• Develop C++ and Python robot software, including ROS/ROS2.
• Create infrastructure for policy deployment, data collection, and the robot learning data flywheel.
• Run robotics experiments and data collection pilots to accelerate model development.
• Debug robotic software, hardware, and policy failures in lab environments.
• Develop deployment and regression tests for reliability.
