Job summary

Precision, Inc. in Lenox, IA is seeking a full-time assembler to produce defined quantities of parts per specifications. You will jig, assemble, and weld components, using a wire welder and hand tools to meet quality standards.

Candidates should demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude, ability to follow prints and schedules, and work independently or in a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Safety and accuracy are valued on every shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Related experience or training preferred; must be able to follow specifications.
• Ability to operate equipment per company standards and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure parts and components are accurate according to specifications.
• Jig, assemble, and weld parts and components.
• Operate a wire welder; follow specifications in regards to weld penetrations, appearance, and quantity.
• Operate various hand tools and machinery (e.g., lathe, grinder, torch) to meet quality expectations.
• Grind, clean, and bevel welds as required.
• Use and understand various paperwork (schedules, prints, technical specs).
• Request/gather raw materials needed to complete tasks.
• Assist with other tasks and maintain workspace.
