Job summary
Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Robotic Welding Applications Engineer – Technical Proposals & Pre-Sales to lead feasibility studies, design robotic welding cells, and develop compelling technical proposals for customers in the Pewaukee, WI area. This on-site, direct-hire role requires 7+ years in welding automation and pre-sales, with travel up to 15%.
You will collaborate with sales and engineering to deliver high-margin automation concepts, ensuring AWS and ASME compliance where needed.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of welding automation experience including pre-sales/quoting.
- Solid understanding of GMAW/MIG and GTAW/TIG welding.
- Proficiency with CAD tools for conceptual layouts.
Responsibilities
- Lead pre-sales technical feasibility studies reviewing parts and specs.
- Architect welding automation concepts including cell layouts and tooling.
- Develop technical proposals with layouts, cycle estimates and BOMs.
- Coordinate weld trials and feasibility testing prior to contracts.
- Travel to client sites (~15%) for requirements and reviews.
- Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX where applicable.
