Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Robotic Welding Technician (Programmer) to join our team responsible for building truck and trailer parts. You will program, troubleshoot and optimize welding robots, while also training operators and programmers to ensure high-quality production.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement in cycle time and throughput. This position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits as part of a leading self-move company

Qualifications

Able to read, write, communicate in English.
Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints.
Ability to pass print reading, measurement, and fraction/decimal conversion tests.
Demonstrate high level of mechanical aptitude (non-traditional backgrounds welcome).
Able to travel for machine-specific training with robotic company.
Knowledge and experience using the GMAW processes.

Responsibilities

Responsible for programming, troubleshooting, debugging and preparation of welding robots for production.
Teach and train robot operators as well as programmers.
Constantly improve cycle time and throughput by adjusting robot path and function.
Diagnose and correct machine issues.
Ensure all jobsite safety procedures and standards are met.
Observe and implement company housekeeping, safety, and quality policies.
