Job summary

Technique, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a skilled welder to join our stamping, tubing and welding facility. You will set up welders for GTAW and GMAW, read basic weld symbols, and work with various materials.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, vocational training, and at least 2 years of industrial welding experience. Monday to Friday shift, with physical demands typical of shop environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up the welder and weld basic GTAW and GMAW mild steel joints.
• Read and apply basic weld symbols.
• Distinguish different material types.
• Understand weld fixture locations and return process.
• Change over wire and gas for regular operations.
• Set up and troubleshoot projection welder and adjust settings accordingly.
• Basic blueprint reading test.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to set up the welder and weld basic GTAW and GMAW mild steel joints
• Ability to read and apply basic weld symbols
• Ability to distinguish different material types
• Understanding of weld fixture locations and return process
• Ability to change over wire and gas for regular operations
• Demonstrate ability to set up and troubleshoot projection welder and change settings accordingly
• Basic blueprint reading test
