Job summary

Allied Steel Buildings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain metal fabrication machinery for producing steel components used in structural systems.

The role focuses on robotic welding, plasma cutting, and CNC-driven processes to ensure parts meet exact specifications. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in fabrication and a strong ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating fabrication equipment, with experience in structural steel fabrication and/or robotic welding preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
• Familiarity with CNC equipment and automated systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic welding systems and automated fabrication equipment for structural steel beams and components.
• Set up machines, tooling, and programs based on production specs and work orders.
• Fabricate beams and assemblies, including layout, fit-up and positioning prior to welding.
• Monitor welding operations to ensure weld quality and structural integrity.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
