Job summary

Technique is seeking a Robotic Welding Technician for our North Carolina chassis facility. Reporting to the Prototype Welding Manager, the role involves MIG/TIG welding of stainless and carbon steel, robotic welders, fixture support, and quality-oriented layouts.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years industrial welding experience, knowledge of GTAW and GMAW, blueprints, GD&T, and the ability to program/ troubleshoot Motoman, Panasonic, or Fanuc robots. Safe, hands-on, team-focused.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T.
• Experience with robotic welding and offline programming preferred.
• Comfortable interpreting CMM reports and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Set up GTAW and GMAW welding on mild steel joints.
• Operate and troubleshoot robotic welders (Motoman, Panasonic, Fanuc).
• Read blueprints and apply GD&T to verify parts.
• Assist in fixturing design and production validation.
• Interpret CMM data and drive quality improvements.
• Support QA with part layouts and inspections.
