Job summary

Metraflex Company in McCook, IL is seeking a Robotic Welder Operator for a full-time day shift. You will set up, program, and operate robotic welding equipment, perform basic maintenance, and ensure welding quality. Must read work instructions and be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of robotics welding experience and strong safety and teamwork focus. Competitive pay and benefits are offered, with an entry salary range of $20.00–$22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience with programming and operating robotic welding machines preferred.
• Understanding of welding quality.
• Able to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints or drawings.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work with cranes or forklifts as needed.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up, adjust and operate robotic weld equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment.
• Develop new and improve existing robotic welding processes.
• Perform QC checks on production parts.
• Operate robotic welding machine to weld with or without manual welding.
• Monitor and replace welder consumables as needed.
• Maintain safe, orderly work area and production data.
