Job description

A Robotic Welder performs duties necessary to weld material according to customer specifications using robotic weld equipment. In addition to preparing orders according to customer specifications, a Robotic Welder is also responsible for the proper set-up, communication with proceeding shifts and safe operation and storage of materials and equipment. Will be required to operate welding equipment and perform welding, operate all related hand and air tools as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operate weld equipment as directed by supervisor.
  • Setup and operate various robotic weld programs
  • Troubleshoot basic issues encountered in robotic program
  • Adjust robot programs
  • Interprets blueprints and welding symbols to plan layout and procedures.
  • Sets up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Inspects parts to endure accuracy
  • Safety welds steel components and parts together through the application of appropriate welding techniques.
  • Checks dimensions using measuring devices to ensure the product meets specifications.
  • Operates a forklift to transport parts and components to various work areas.
  • Operates a crane or jib hoist to move and position metal components and parts.
  • Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag or spatter.
  • Keeps work area safe, clean and organized.
  • Ensure proper placement of tools and other equipment at the end of shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Blueprint reading skills and ability to read a tape measure.
  • Proficient in shop mathematics and layout techniques.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hand tools such as sanders.
  • Works well with others.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of welding technology training or previous work experience.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

Salary Range: $24.00-$32.26
