Job summary

Staffing Support Specialists is hiring a Robotic Welder in Hartford, WI for a first shift (6:00-4:30, with 4:00am/5:00am starts available). The role focuses on programming, operating, and maintaining robotic welding cells to join metal components, ensuring high-quality welds while following blueprints and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of robotic welding experience, ability to edit weld paths, and familiarity with MIG welding in automated systems.

Qualifications

Proficient in operating robotic welding equipment.
Able to program, edit and troubleshoot weld paths.
Knowledge of MIG welding as applied to robotic systems.
Strong math ability and analytical problem-solving.
Able to read and interpret blueprints efficiently.
1–2 years of robotic/automated welding experience (manual welding with robotic exposure also considered).

Responsibilities

Set up and operate robotic welding cells and fixtures, edit weld paths as needed.
Select welding consumables according to program specs and materials.
Determine welding parameters using metallurgy and robotics knowledge.
Prepare surfaces free of scale, rust, moisture or grease.
Position and secure workpieces in fixtures and equipment.
Monitor weld cycles, troubleshoot faults, adjust programs.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and fixtures.
