Robotic Welder – FANUC

We are hiring an experienced Robotic Welder for a precision aerospace and defense manufacturing operation located approximately 25–30 minutes from West Point.

This is a hands-on position for someone who has experience operating robotic welding cells and is comfortable making program adjustments, troubleshooting equipment, and producing consistent, high-quality welds in a production environment.

What You’ll Do

• Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic welding cells
• Program, edit, and optimize FANUC robotic welding programs using a teach pendant
• Perform MIG/GMAW robotic welding
• Adjust weld parameters, robot positions, and weld paths to improve quality and consistency
• Troubleshoot robot faults, torch alignment, wire-feed issues, and welding parameters
• Perform weld fit-up and in-process quality inspections
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols
• Work with welding fixtures, tooling, and part positioning
• Support new-part setups, fixture validation, and welding-process improvements
• Perform routine robotic-cell maintenance, including nozzle cleaning and wire changes
• Follow established aerospace quality and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of robotic welding, automated welding, or related manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with FANUC robots and teach pendants
• Ability to make basic robotic-program edits and troubleshoot robot faults
• Strong MIG/GMAW welding experience
• Experience with Fronius, Miller, Lincoln, or similar welding equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
• Experience with weld fixtures, sequencing, fit-up, and distortion control
• Aerospace, defense, automotive, heavy equipment, or other precision manufacturing experience is a plus
• GD&T knowledge is a plus
• FANUC or welding certifications are a plus
• High school diploma or GED required
