Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking an experienced Robotic Welder in New Hope, Mississippi to support our manufacturing client with high-quality robotic welding. You will operate, program, troubleshoot, and maintain welding cells while following engineering specs and production requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in robotic welding, hands-on Fanuc experience, and ability to collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to optimize processes and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 3+ years in robotic welding or a similar production environment.
  • Hands-on Fanuc robotics programming, teach pendant use, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of MIG/GMAW welding processes, fixturing, and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic welding cells.
  • Assist with programming and optimizing Fanuc welding programs.
  • Work with Fronius and Miller welding systems and support process improvements.
  • Read technical drawings, perform weld checks, and ensure quality standards.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Robotic Welder to support the production of high-quality manufactured components in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment. This individual will be responsible for operating, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining robotic welding cells while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience with robotic welding systems, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to optimize welding processes and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities
Robotic Welding Operations
  • Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic welding cells used in production.
  • Assist with programming, editing, and optimizing Fanuc robotic welding programs to improve weld quality, cycle time, and repeatability.
  • Operate and support advanced welding equipment, including Fronius and Miller welding systems.
  • Troubleshoot robotic cell issues, including torch alignment, wire feed problems, welding parameters, and robot faults to minimize downtime.
Quality & Manufacturing
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Perform weld setup verification, fit-up inspections, and in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including fixture validation, process development, and robotic weld path optimization.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment while following all manufacturing and welding procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve welding and automation-related issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve welding quality, efficiency, and production performance.
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in robotic welding, automated manufacturing, or similar production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Fanuc robotic systems, including basic programming, teach pendant operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of MIG/GMAW welding processes, fixturing, weld sequencing, and distortion control.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, quality-focused manufacturing environment.
Preferred
  • Experience operating Fronius and/or Miller welding systems.
  • Experience working with aluminum, steel, and stainless steel materials.
  • Technical training or trade school education in welding, robotics, automation, or manufacturing technology.
  • AWS Welding Certification and/or Fanuc Robotics Certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (10+ hours per shift).
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive manual tasks.
  • Visual acuity to inspect weld quality and interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding hood, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.
