Job summary

Super Steel in Mequon, WI seeks a skilled Robotic Weld Programmer & Automation Technician to program, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic welding systems for consistent high-quality welds and efficient production.

The role requires experience with FANUC/ABB/Yaskawa cobots, reading blueprints, welding symbols, and CAD models, plus familiarity with AWS D1.1 and ISO standards. You will lead process improvements, train operators, and support Lean initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of robotic welding programming experience in metal fabrication/manufacturing.
• Experience programming industrial robotic welding systems (FANUC/ABB/Yaskawa).
• Ability to read engineering drawings, welding symbols, and CAD models.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and ISO welding standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and optimize robotic and cobot welding applications to improve productivity and quality.
• Read blueprints, welding symbols, and CAD models to determine requirements.
• Set up, calibrate, and validate robotic welding equipment and parameters.
• Conduct test runs and first-piece validations for repeatability.
• Monitor operations and troubleshoot programming, equipment, and process issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance to improve processes.
