Job summary

IS4S is seeking a Robotic User Interface Developer to design and implement UI software for a ground station in a state-of-the-art robotic decontamination system. The role requires in-office work in Huntsville, AL and proficiency in C++, C#, or Python, with non-web/Linux UI experience.

The candidate will work with a team to rapidly design, implement, integrate, and test software on robotic systems, following AS9100 quality processes and an agile development environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university in the United States.
• Experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• 2 to 4 years in C++, C#, Python, and/or similar software development.
• Experience developing user interfaces on non-web/cloud based Linux systems.
• Experience developing and implementing custom message protocols and architectures to interface with equipment.
• Experience with Linux, ROS, Moveit, Gazebo, and other associated tools.
• Experience developing robotic path planning systems.
• Experience displaying and annotating real time video and still images to augment the user interface experience.
• Experience working with an engineering team to rapidly facilitate software design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Experience in AS9100 operations and quality control processes.

Title: Robotic User Interface Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking Software Engineer team members to help develop user interface software for a new robotic decontamination system ground station, Specifically, the successful applicant will meet the requirements below.

Technical & Skill Requirements

Candidates must be able to actually write and interpret software in C++, C#, Python, or some other acceptable language that does NOT require web/cloud access.

Note - This is NOT a “vibe coding” job. Use of AI to generate code will not be allowed in this position.

An in-person coding test with no web/phone access will be given for this position.

This is an in-office position that involves the development and deployment of a state of the art robotic system. Remote work will not be an option.

Must be a US Citizen.

Education Requirements

Pay

Starting at $120,000 to $155,000 per year.
