Job summary

Nabla is seeking a Robotics Application Engineer to design, customize, and support advanced robotic applications for real-world industrial use. You will bridge development and end-users, adapting software and hardware, testing in the field, and delivering tailored solutions for tasks like bin-picking and item manipulation.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in robotics app development, strong Python/C++ skills, ROS 2 expertise, and hands‑on robotics experience with arms, grippers, and vision

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in robotics application development or integration.
  • Strong programming in Python and C++, with experience in task-level software development.
  • Experience working with clients to implement and refine robotic solutions.
  • Proficiency with ROS 2 and simulation tools like Gazebo or RViz.
  • Hands‑on experience with robotic arms, grippers, and vision systems.
  • Strong understanding of motion planning, perception systems, and kinematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues in both lab and field settings.
  • Experience dockerizing applications and deploying containerized solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestic and internationally 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Document application workflows and create detailed user guides.

Overview

We're looking for a talented Robotics Application Engineer to design, customize, and support the deployment of advanced robotic applications tailored to real-world industrial needs. In this role, you'll act as the critical link between our development team and end-users, ensuring our robotic systems perform flawlessly in dynamic environments. You'll focus on adapting software and hardware for specific use cases, testing solutions in the field, and providing technical expertise to optimize system performance for complex tasks such as bin-picking and item manipulation.

Your Responsibilities

Willing and able to travel up to three months

Design
  • Debug and resolve application-level issues, collaborating with hardware and software teams as needed.
  • Adapt and optimize robotic systems for specific client applications, including path planning, perception, and object manipulation.
  • Create and implement task-specific workflows, configurations, and behaviors for robotic systems.
  • Develop user-friendly interfaces and tools to simplify system operation for end-users.
Optimization

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: USD $125,000 - $200,000 (actual pay based on skills, experience, and location)
