  • This position is onsite. It is NOT a remote role.


The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer will work closely with the RPA Supervisor and Business Process Owners to understand and document business processes, process definition documents, and solution design documents. This role will be responsible for architecting, developing, and automating processes by building and deploying bots. This role is responsible for complying with Corporate IT policies and security parameters, as well as providing superior customer service to internal customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop process and testing automations, tests, and deploys BOTs utilizing UI Path Automation tool to replace manual business processes.
  • Apply RPA workflow design best practices when developing or maintaining workflows.
  • Configure new processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
  • Review code developed by other RPA Developers to ensure compliance with internal controls, security, and audit requirements.
  • Create and document test cases for negative scenarios, to document workflow behavior when certain systems malfunction, as well as performance scenarios, to stress test systems behavior.
  • Monitor test scenarios outcomes and ensure the timely resolution of errors throughout development, testing, and post-implementation.
  • Provide support during the UAT and rollout phases.
  • Provide maintenance to production BOTs by ensuring support for incidents; investigate reported errors, and propose resolutions and support tasks, respect SLAs agreed with business for production downtime.
  • Define and plan the development approach for larger projects/solutions through smaller developments using object-oriented design skills.
  • Meet with and/or shadow business process owners on their business process to understand critical inputs, steps, and decisions.
  • Create and maintain throughout the project life cycle, process definition document (PDD) and solution design document (SDD) including detailed RPA solution process flows, processes, and technical specifications.
  • Create and document test procedures and scenarios for user acceptance testing.
  • Analyze new process automation ideas, quickly assessing the feasibility and accurately estimate the development effort.
  • Monitor existing bots and provide bot support.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems and issues.
  • Provide triage support in the event of automation failures.
  • Work with RPA Supervisor to ensure all configurations and specifications comply with IT policies and security parameters.
  • Deliver BOT demos and support for new/existing clients.
  • Mentor new/existing developers by providing advice and guidance on best practices, development techniques, and technical support.


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of RPA experience or related experience


Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline with an Information Technology focus or equivalent experience required
  • 2 years of technology-related experience
  • Previous experience with RPA bot development with UiPath or one of the following: Automation Anywhere, Power Automate or BluePrism
  • Experience in Business Analysis, Robotic Process Automation, or in a related area

Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
