Job description

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer

Join us to apply for the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer role at Generac Power Systems Inc.

This position is onsite. It is NOT a remote role.

The RPA Developer will collaborate with the RPA Supervisor and Business Process Owners to understand and document business processes, process definition documents, and solution design documents. Responsibilities include architecting, developing, and deploying bots, ensuring compliance with IT policies and security, and providing excellent customer service to internal clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and test automations, and deploy BOTs using UI Path Automation tool to replace manual processes.
  • Apply best practices in RPA workflow design.
  • Configure processes with efficient, maintainable, and well-structured workflows.
  • Review code for compliance with controls, security, and audit standards.
  • Create test cases for various scenarios including negative and performance testing.
  • Monitor test outcomes and resolve errors during development, testing, and post-implementation phases.
  • Support during UAT and rollout phases.
  • Maintain production BOTs, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within SLAs.
  • Plan development approaches for larger projects using object-oriented design.
  • Engage with business owners to understand critical inputs and decisions.
  • Maintain process definition and solution design documents throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and document test procedures and scenarios for UAT.
  • Assess new automation ideas for feasibility and effort estimation.
  • Monitor and support existing bots.
  • Provide triage support for automation failures.
  • Ensure configurations comply with IT policies and security standards.
  • Deliver BOT demonstrations and support clients.
  • Mentor developers on best practices and technical support.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of RPA or related experience.
Preferred Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline with an IT focus or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of technology-related experience.
  • Experience with RPA tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, or BluePrism.
  • Background in Business Analysis or RPA.
