Job summary

Albar Industries is seeking a highly motivated Paint Process Engineer to lead automotive paint operations involving robotic painting of metal, SMC, and plastics. You will develop, launch, maintain, and improve paint systems while ensuring compliance with customer, OEM, quality, environmental, and safety requirements.

You will collaborate with production, quality, engineering, maintenance, suppliers, and customers to drive excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of two years of automotive manufacturing or coatings experience

Responsibilities

Lead paint-related activities for new product launches.
Develop and optimize robotic paint programs.
Maximize transfer efficiency, throughput, and coating quality while reducing waste and cycle time.
Develop 1K/2K coating processes and solvent-borne systems.
Collaborate with suppliers to optimize coating performance and ensure customer specs.
Perform laboratory testing and coatings evaluations.
Ensure compliance with OEM, quality, and safety requirements.
Provide daily technical support for paint operations and equipment.
