Job summary

Jobtailor in Minnesota is seeking a highly qualified thoracic surgeon to lead advanced care for patients with lung, chest wall, mediastinal and pleural diseases.

You will perform minimally invasive thoracic procedures, including robotic surgery, VATS, and endoscopic techniques, while collaborating in a multidisciplinary tumor board.

The role supports a team of PAs, nurses, and coordinators, with a schedule of clinic days, surgery days, and flexible time for administrative work.

Qualifications

• MD or DO licensed to practice in Minnesota
• ACGME/AOA Thoracic Surgery Residency completed
• Completion of Thoracic Oncology Fellowship
• 2+ years trained thoracic/cardiothoracic surgeon with focus on thoracic malignancy
• 2+ years robotic surgical experience
• Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice
• Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Thoracic Surgery or Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery
• DEA Certification
• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Allina Health required upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced surgical care for thoracic oncology patients with lung, chest wall, mediastinal, and pleural diseases
• Perform a broad range of thoracic procedures including minimally invasive thoracic surgery, robotic surgery, VATS, bronchoscopy, and endoscopy
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards with a thoracic surgery team and supportive staff
• Maintain clinic and OR schedule with allocated days for clinic, surgery, and flexible administrative or overflow duties
