Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation in Shelby County, Kentucky, is hiring for machine welders on 2nd shift. You will operate robotic welding and MIG welding equipment, load/unload fixtures, perform inspections, and assist with finishing and quality checks.

Starting pay ranges from $22.50–$26.00 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift premium. Training is provided for non-welders, with opportunities to test into higher rates as skills grow.

Qualifications

• Ability to work open shift and overtime as needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and handle this physically.
• Work in an environment with welding (flash lighting).

Responsibilities

• Performs fixture set-ups and operation, buffing, spot welding, operating welding fixtures, MIG welding, load jigs, packing, deburring, sorting and reworking parts.
• Set-up jigs and fixtures by making adjustments in fixture and equipment used in producing product.
• Operates equipment using efficient procedures to meet production standards and uses measuring tools to ensure quality.
• Keeps records and maintains a clean work area.
• Follows instructions for operation of dies and equipment and other assigned jobs.
• Help other operators as needed.
• Performs all duties safely.
